Pastor David Kennedy and Louise met in the Church in Walthamstow, London, England. Louise was involved in a Girl band called “The Word” which travelled around the UK singing in Gospel concert most weekends. Pastor Kennedy was a disciple in the Church and invariably found himself, leading “Impact teams” helping out many of the smaller Churches around the UK and sometimes in Europe.  Thru these times they got to know each other and a friendship developed. On 24th November 1991 (Pastor Kennedy’s 30th birthday) they got married during the Sunday morning service in Walthamstow.  They honeymooned in Koh Samui a little tropical island in the gulf of Siam.

In May 1992 Pastor David and Louise joined the Staff of the Walthamstow Church, then under the Pastorate of Peter Beyerman. In May of 1993 Their 1st Child Jordan was Born This was also the time of the very 1st British Conference

In November 1993 there was a Pastoral Change and Pastor David Vicary took over the Walthamstow Church I year later Pastor David and Louise were launched out of Walthamstow to Pioneer a Church in Angel Islington. Meeting in a hall in White Lion Street. A number of years later they moved the Church to another Hall in Islington and finally settled the Church in Archway North London. That Church was taken over by Abdul and Michelle Yussuf and subsequently by Kevin and Channel Hodges.

After leaving Archway Pastor David, Louise and two new additions to the family (Nicole born Jan 1996 and Benjamin born March 1999) moved back to Walthamstow to assist Pastor Nigel Brown on Staff.

One of the best parts of that ministry was the opportunity to travel with teams to places like Jamaica, Romania, Germany, Holland, America, Australia, India, Nigeria, Ghana, Guyana and eventually to South Africa

It was in South Africa that Pastor David felt the call to be a missionary there. Two years later they were launched out of the November 2006 Bible Conference to the City of Bloemfontein.

It took a number of months to establish the family in the city but in September 2007 The Potters House Bloemfontein started. Meeting at Old Grey Sports Club the Church grew steadily until in November we had outgrown those premises.

We managed to secure a piece of land thru the help of the Aretsi family and a kind donation of a tent by Pastor Wayman Mitchell and in November 1999 we had our very 1st service at 43 Park Road located in between the Technicon and the University of the Free State. It is in a great location far more visible and the following year has been a great blessing.
We have been able to establish our own Praise and Worship band. Having no musicians in the Church we paid for interested members to have 10 lessons and with the leadership of Terry have now been able to have a proper band leading us in Praise and worship.

Some of the Highlights have been the Baptisms we have had in a blow up pool during the morning service. Also some incredible miracles that God has performed. I don’t think anyone we have prayed for haven’t got healed.

We have also been vey fortunate to have some visiting speakers come for us this year Pastor Nigel Brown, Jimmy Robinson, and Phil Azile from London. Pastor Rod Gibson and Paul Graham from Australia Pastor John McCarthy and Chris Aulson from America All of them have brought something different to the Church and we are starting to see couples young men and women rise up and feel the great call to take the Gospel to the WHOLE WORLD
